Broader Urban Involvement & Leadership Development (BUILD) Mental Health 101 Workshop
BUILD is a violence prevention and youth development organization in Chicago’s West Side, with the mission to inspire hope and offer opportunities for youth facing systemic obstacles. I co-developed and co-led a two-part Mental Health 101 Workshop at BUILD to provide increased mental health awareness, along with practical and culturally-syntonic coping skills. We then conducted an evaluation of the workshop through a feedback survey and focus group.
