I am on a mission to make Black psychology visible, accessible, and mainstream in Germany.
- Dr. Gina Sissoko
Why?
Before I became Dr. Gina Sissoko, I was a young Black girl growing up in Germany who often felt misunderstood in systems not built for me.
The data is clear: Black people face discrimination in psychotherapy, and culturally responsive mental health care remains limited across the country.
I am on a mission to bring culture-specific and affirming Black mental health into the German health landscape. My work focuses on public education and dissemination of psychological evidence through social media, talks, trainings, and workshops.
